Fantastic Trip!
We had such an amazing trip filled with incredible musical opportunities and many fun memories. I would like to thank Dr. P, Mrs. O, Ms. Mullen, Mrs. DePeder, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. McClellan, Mr. Teague, and Mr. Miller for making this trip possible, and for making this a very special trip for everyone.
What a magical trip!
We are now sitting in the Orlando airport awaiting our flight home. We have all enjoyed incredible musical experiences and made new friends.

Orchestra Workshop
Sunday morning, the orchestra participated in a wonderful clinic with Suzanne, our conductor. The students read through many different Disney and Star Wars tunes, learned about the expectations for studio/film musicians, learned how to sync music and film together, then recorded two pieces - one from Tarzan and one from The Little Mermaid. These recordings ended up being the background track to a keepsake DVD filled with pictures from the workshop. It was so much fun and a great learning experience! The orchestra students were all smiles at the end of the workshop.
Happy birthday, Alena and Karli!
We are celebrating two more birthdays! Yesterday was Alena's birthday, and today is Karli's birthday. Happy birthday, girls!

A World of Fun
Today we were at Epcot center and it was also clinic day! Which for the orchestra kids meant that we were getting a wake up call at 4:45 am. :) We got to breakfast before the buffet even opened and we had the whole hall to ourselves. :) My day was made by our lovely server at 6:10 because he told me that I could get a cup of coffee to go. :) !!Then we were off to our clinic which was absolutely fabulous. We went over a lot of musical topics that you don't always think about. We read through six Disney tunes and we got to play one of them and have a recording of it laid over onto the movie. It was such a cool experience to hear yourself on a movie that you watched over and over as a kid.
After our clinic we were set free onto Epcot. We rode most of the rides within an hour and then we just roamed around all of the countries for the rest of the day! We certainly did a lot of walking but there was also a lot of eating and having fun too!
At 9 o'clock we watched the IlumiNations: Reflections of Earth light show. It was such a cool show and it involved not just fireworks but also fire, lights, lasers!, and the surrounding Epcot countries. After the show it was time to hit the hay.

Fun at Epcot
Today we spent the entire day at Epcot. The first thing we did was go back stage Disney to have a workshop about sight reading and learned about the true experience movie orchestras have. After we finished the workshop, we went straight into the park where we spent all day moving from country to country. My favorite part of the day was when I saw Minnie Mouse and she gave us a kiss. The day ended with an amazing fireworks show which I especially loved. I've never seen so many different colors of fireworks. Today was so much fun and I can't wait to spend our last day at Animal Kingdom tomorrow. P.S. Happy Valentines Day!
